Business involved in deadly farmworkers' crash has its license suspended
The company involved in a deadly crash that killed three B.C. farmworkers in March has had its licence to transport workers suspended.
RHA Enterprises Ltd. of the Fraser Valley operates a fleet of vehicles that moves farmworkers to work sites throughout the Lower Mainland.
Transportation Minister Kevin Falcon says the license suspension means the company will no longer be allowed to transport people to and from work.
The move comes after government inspectors pulled four of the company's vans off the road for violations this week.
The government has also suspended the inspection rights of the private company that checked the van involved in the March crash before the fatal accident.
That vehicle did not have enough seatbelts and its passengers benches were not properly secured to the floor.
